Suszanne Marie (Edgar) Somers, 72, of The Woodlands, TX passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2017. She was born on October 23, 1944 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her son Daniel Somers, her two brothers, John Edgar III and Michael Edgar, and many close friends across the country. She is preceded in death by her mother Vivian Edgar, her father John Edgar Jr., and her sister, Donna Thielz.

Suszanne graduated from the Coatesville Hospital School of Nursing in 1965. After graduating, she packed her white Ford Mustang with her belongings and moved to Houston, Texas. Here, she started a nursing career that spanned over fifty years. Due to her naturally caring and loving nature, she was beloved by both her colleagues and patients alike.

Susie had a passion for animals and nature, and frequently supported wildlife and nature conservation efforts and organizations. She was well known for her sweet, easy-going personality and as someone who always thought of the needs of others before her own.

A celebration of her life will be held in the coming weeks. For more information about the celebration, please contact her son Daniel.
