Terry McCarthy, age 55, of Panorama Village died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 7, 2012. He was born on September 21, 1956 in Houston, Texas and graduated from Lamar High School. Following high school, he joined the US Army where he served in the 1st Armored Division at Ft. Hood and in Germany. After serving his country, he received an Associates Degree from San Jacinto College. He was currently working as a mechanic at Gullo Ford in Conroe, where he had worked for the past 24 years starting with Mahaffey Ford.

Terry had a love for trains that started at an early age and he had a passion for movies of all types that he shared with his beloved nephew Ted. He was also a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan and even traveled numerous times to Pittsburgh to see them play.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Leonard McCarthy, and is survived by his mother, Elizabeth McCarthy, and sister, Kathryn McCarthy, both of Panorama Village; sister, Julia Rholes of Oxford, Mississippi; brother, Timothy McCarthy of Tyler, Texas; and nephews, Ted Rholes of Austin and Eric Rholes of Overland Park, Kansas.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening, April 10, 2012 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N. Frazier at Wilson, Conroe, Texas 77301. Following a cremation, his ashes will be interred in the Houston National Cemetery. For those desiring, contributions may be made to Montgomery County Animal Shelter or to the .
