Tommy Beavers was born in Conroe, TX on August 14, 1997 and passed away in the arms of his sister, surrounded by his loving family at Texas Children's Hospital on June 2, 2013. Tommy was a vibrant young man of 11 years, who loved to play baseball, football, and hunt, when he was involved in a tragic ATV accident on December 29, 2008 which left him with a traumatic / anoxic brain injury. Tommy was an inspiration to many during the next 4 1/2 years as he valiantly fought through surgeries, hospital stays, and more doctor visits than imaginable. His bravery and faith was the foundation of the strength which kept his family going each day.

Tommy was a proud Willis Wildkat and received much support from the school district, teachers, and his fellow students as well as the Willis / Conroe area community during his journey.

As that journey quietly came to an end and Tommy flew away home on the wings of angels, his family watched in amazement as his sweet face took the shape of the child they had known prior to his accident, and he smiled sweetly, giving them peace that he was now healed and in the arms of his Savior. Fly Tommy Fly!

Tommy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wendell "Tommy" Thomas Beavers and Marvin and Anne Thayer; uncle, Otis Meekins; and his great grandfather, Bill Rough. He is survived by his loving family: mother, Jill Meekins and husband Craig; father, Billy Beavers and wife Sarah; sister, Brandi Beavers; brother, Cody Stalsby; grandparents, Susan Beavers, Jerry and Tillie Meekins, and Greg and Karen English; aunts and uncles, Jason and Wendie Bauer, Cathy Thayer, Mark Thayer, Barbara Vandewerker, Donald and Dawyn Meekins, Sam English, Tim and Maribeth Hammer, and Alex and Betsy Borger; and cousins, Dillon Bauer, Jennifer Pace, Steven Vandewerker, Chris Vandewerker, Hannah Thayer, Jessica Richter, Steffanie Meekins, Eric Meekins, Phillip Meekins, Kayla McCool, Danny McCool, Nathan English, Rachel English, Shannon English, Benjamin Hammer, and Krista Roberts.
