Tommie Terrel Tyler, 87, of Conroe, was born in Turkey, Texas March 26, 1930, and was called home January 11, 2018.

"Tommie T", as he was known by family and friends, had been a resident of Conroe since 1943. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and made the best cornbread and gravy in Texas. He never knew a stranger and never ran out of tall tales to tell.

Tommie was preceded in death by his father, John R. Tyler, mother, Inez V. White, both of Conroe, brother John Tyler of Redding, California, and daughter, Sherry Lynn Keller of Conroe.

Tommie is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorthea Merle Tyler, son, Robert W. Tyler, daughter, Dianne Tyler, brothers, Monroe and Gene Tyler, all of Conroe, and one sister, Ruby Cwalenski, of Livingston, Texas.

Tommie T. left behind three granddaughters, Robin Badillo of Willis, Cheryl and Crystal Massey of Conroe, two grandsons, Danial Tyler and John S. Massey, of Conroe, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss him greatly.
