Tony L. Curry, age 61, of Oakwood, Texas passed away on August 5th, 2013, in his home. He was born on June 19, 1952, in Conroe, Texas, to Tommie Van and Emma Pearl Curry. His parents precede him in death.

Tony is survived by his two daughters, Amber Curry Gracia, wife of Rene Gracia, of Dallas, Texas, and their children, Roman and Siena Gracia; Hayley Jackson, wife of Brian Jackson of Weatherford, Texas, and their children, Gage Nethery and Londyn Jackson; and one son, Tyler Curry of Dallas, Texas. The youngest of four children, he is also survived by two brothers, John Curry, husband to Carol Curry of Spring, Texas, and Jimmie Curry, husband to Debbie Curry of Lufkin Texas; and his sister Connie Gordon, wife of Frank Gordon of Oakwood, Texas. He is also survived by his first love, only love and mother of his three children, Nannetta Curry of Bedford Texas.

Tony was a nomad of sorts. He liked a simple way of life and was always more at home amongst the trees than in the confines of any four walls. Just as his wild curly hair couldn't be tamed, neither could his spirit. In his younger years, he played the drums way too loud, raced dirt bikes way too fast and preferred fireworks of the illegal kind. To his children, he will always be their curly-headed hooligan; racing down the asphalt in their beat up yellow go-cart with a gleeful child in tow, holding on for dear life.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2013, at the Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held the following day, Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at the same location.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Oakwood Church of Christ Building Fund at P.O Box 322, Oakwood, Texas, 75855.

His family wishes to extend their gratitude as they remember Tony L. Curry, loving father, brother, son and man who lived life on his own terms.
