Van Quincy Gressett passed away on July 23, 2016 in Coldspring, Texas. He was born on December 31, 1932 in Meehan, MS to Luther and Prucia Gressett. Van proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing. Van was a family man, he loved spending time with his family and making memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Gressett and Prucia Carrie Sharp Gressett, brothers, Harold Warren Gressett, Luther Gressett Jr., Carl Vane Gressett and John Allen Gressett and sister, Gladys Clean Miller. Van is survived by his sons, Charles David Gressett; Luther Gordon Gressett and wife Renee, brother, Bobby Ray Gressett and wife Patricia, sisters, Julia Ann Elizabeth Christian, Annie Jewel Hull and Jesse Ann Sims, grandkids, Luther Van John Gressett, Hayden Allen Gressett, Cayla Gressett, Tiffany Lamping and husband Louis, Theresa Gressett and Cindy Jones, great grandkids, Micah and Maliah Gressett, Cheyenne, Hannah, Louis and Carson Lamping, Alexa Taras; Caity and Nathan Jones. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Rodney Gressett officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luther Van John Gressett, Hayden Allen Gressett, Louis Lamping III, Robert W. Gressett, Carl Gressett and Robert Gressett.
