Virginia "Ginny" Rohrer Roberts

Virginia "Ginny" Rohrer Roberts, 75, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016, in Montgomery, Texas.

Virginia was born on November 24, 1947, in Houston, Texas, and was the daughter of Reginald G. and Virginia Rohrer Young.

She grew up in the Heights area of Houston but lived in Shreveport, Louisiana for a short time. She attended preparatory school while living there. She moved back to Houston where she attended and graduated from the University of Houston. Ginny loved animals, dogs in particular. She also loved music. She sang in a number of choral groups, most recently Rainbow - De Colores. Her beautiful soprano will grace the Lord's choir, now.

Ginny is survived by her daughter, Karen V. Atkinson and son in law Doyle Atkinson, of Montgomery, TX and grandson Nicholas Atkinson of Aurora, Co. Brother William Arrell Young, of Spring, TX and his wife Annette. Nephews and nieces; James "Jim" R. Young & spouse Amy, Jennifer Young Jackson & spouse Drew, Michael "Mike" Arrell Young & spouse Barbara, and Melissa Young Conner & spouse Chris; great-nephews and nieces Ann Katherine Jackson, Jennings Young, Amber Young, Johnathan Young, Daniel Young, Austin Young, Abby Young, Alyssa Young, Nikki Conner, Kaci Conner, McKenna Conner, and Caden Conner. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Roberts; father, Reginald G. Young; mother Virginia Rohrer Young; brother, Reginald "Buddy" G. Young; and nephew, David Charles Young.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
