Wayland Daniels was born on December 1, 1941 in Shamrock, Texas, and on June 7, 2017 at 1:32 PM at his home, with his family by his side, Wayland W. Daniels Sr. was called by the Lord to be reunited with his wife Guylan Daniels, who preceded him in death, as well as his two sons, Donald Lee Daniels Sr. and Terry Allen Daniels, and his parents John Daniels and Minnie Daniels. Wayland was a loving, caring, hardworking and well respected man who will be missed deeply by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Wayland and Guylan united as husband and wife and built a family of 5 boys and 1 daughter. Wayland is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter and their families: son Wayland W. Daniels Jr., and wife Debbie, and their children Disaree Dunn, Stacy Shepard, and Tabitha Barringer; the children of Donald Lee Daniels Sr., Donald Lee Daniels Jr., and Sheri Lynn Daniels; son Ronald Daniels and wife Carolyn, and their children Ned Daniels and Brandie Bassett; son Brian Daniels and wife Sherrie and their sons Justin Daniels and Frankie Aguero; daughter Krissy Hughes and husband Neal, and their son Aaron. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Alice Fournet and Becky Mullins; 1 brother-in-law, Mike Ford; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation with the family is scheduled for Friday, June 9 from 5-8 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 10 at 11 AM at the Daniels Family Cemetery, 16460 Cedar Lane Loop, in Willis. Pallbearers will be children Wayne Daniels, Ronald Daniels, Brian Daniels, Krissy Hughes, and 2 grandsons, Aaron and Justin. Condolences may be left at www.shmfh.com .
