Graveside funeral services for Wendell Earl Taylor, age 87, of Montgomery, Texas have been set for 1 PM, Wednesday, March13, 2013 at the Taylor Cemetery in the Flo Community southeast of Buffalo. A short visitation will be held at the Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home from 10 AM until 12:30 PM on the day of the service. Wendell Earl Taylor was born in Flo, Texas on July 12, 1925. His parents were O.K. and Winnie Mae(Pate) Taylor. He was raised in Flo and served his country during World WarII in the U.S. Navy. He lived 42 years in Dayton, Texas and was the general manager for a company that manufactured water pumps. He enjoyed hunting and spending as much time as was possible on the land on which he was born and raised. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sammie; an infant son, O.K. Taylor, II and by his siblings, Edith, Kenneth and Ralph. He died March 6, 2013 at the Memorial Herman North East Hospital in Humble, Texas. Surviving family members include a son, Mark Taylor of Montgomery; three daughters, Rene' Boullion and her husband, Ron of Canyon Lake, Texas, Monica Taylor and her husband, Rex Green, of Cleveland, Texas and Joyce Smith and her husband, Joe of Dayton, Texas; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
