William Henry Garner, 84, of New Caney, TX passed away on December 17, 2017. He is preceded in death by his son Thomas Lee Garner; grandchildren Kayla Morrison and baby Samuel Morrison William (Bill) was born November 16, 1934, in Warren County, GA to James Rufus Garner and Mattie Martha Garner. William (Bill) served his country in the U.S. Army. Bill moved to Houston where he met and married the love of his life Betty. William (Bill) and Betty were married for 57 years. He retired from Independent Life Insurance. William (Bill) enjoyed fishing, hunting, and time with his family. At the end of day he looked forward to pouring an ice cold beer.

He enjoyed traveling back to Georgia every summer for the family reunions. He is survived by his wife Betty Garner, his son Ricky and wife Ann Garner, daughter Rebecca and husband Kevin Youll, and daughter Patricia Fischer; Friend Dick Milstead; Longtime friend Kenny Fischer; Friend Karrie Morrison; grandchildren Kristina and husband KC Kenner, Billy and wife Aspen Tabrizia Kuzara Garner, Amber Youll, Leigha Garner, Ashley and Johnny Forstmann, Samuel Morrison; great grandchildren, Ky Kenner, Brady, Allie, and Sunny Forstmann and Brooke Morrison. A Celebration of Life will be held January 25, 2018 at 12:00 PM, "Creekside Bible Church", 29819 W Hawthorne, Spring, TX 77386. Immediately, following the service he will be laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery Chapel, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
