William P. (Billy) Dark was born on May 11, 1955, the first child of William E. and Wanda M. Dark. He died at home on the morning of May 17, 2015 (his mother's birthday) peacefully in his sleep. He had enjoyed a cup of coffee with his dad early that morning. Billy had been treated for lung cancer over the preceding year and had been released from the hospital two weeks ago, after treatment for pneumonia.

Billy was a 1973 Conroe High School graduate where he was an outstanding student and a small but good football player until he hurt his knee after his sophomore season. He was also on the CHS baseball team. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1977 with a B. S. degree and continued in school pursuing an MBA degree at the University of Texas in Austin.

Billy liked animals. He worked with horse trainers for a number of years and until his cancer diagnosis, he spent twelve years training dogs with his friend Laura Gibson.

Bill is reunited with his sister Becky, who died in 1972 and leaves behind his mother, father, brother and sister-in-law Ronnie and Ally Dark and his sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Jerry Hayley, their children, his nieces and nephew, Amanda, Abby, Allyson and Jacob.
