William Thomas Quinn, Junior passed away on Monday April 2 at Chi St. Luke's Health, The Woodlands Hospital. He was 85.

Tom was born February 15, 1933 in Texarkana, Texas, and graduated from Victoria High School in 1951 and attended Baylor University. He married Lois Anderson on July 1, 1955 and began serving his country in the United States Army shortly thereafter.

Tom's pride and joy was his family. His friends knew him as Tom, but his five children, 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren fondly called him Daddy Tom.

For 46 years, he was a fixture at First Baptist Church Conroe as a faithful member, a deacon and chairman of the deacons, a Sunday school teacher, director, and most recently, an assistant in the ESL program. Tom's favorite day of the week was Sunday. The time he spent at his church fueled his unstoppable energy to spread the word of Christ, through his actions and his words.

Tom was a proud Kiwanian for more than 25 years where he was named Kiwanian of the Year as well as served as the club president. He loved chairing the Special Olympics Committee, and was first to arrive and last to leave the event every year. His passion for young people was shown by the many loving hours he invested in The Woodlands Kiwanis Club Scholarship fund. He wanted to open doors and provide eager young students an opportunity to further their education.

Tom's Celebration of Life service will be held on his favorite day of the week, Sunday April 8 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church located at 600 North Main St, Conroe, Texas, 77301. There will be a reception in Herrington Hall at FBC Conroe immediately following the service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Quinn, Sr. and Annie Tucker Quinn; his sister, Marjorie Green and brother-in-law Leo Green; and his son Stephen Anderson Quinn. Staying behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Lois Quinn; three daughters, his son and their spouses; Brenda and Dwaine Wyman, Kay and Don Trammell, Lisa and Russ Roberts, and Greg and Carrie Quinn. His grandchildren and great grandchildren include, Bryan Anderson and Brittany Wyman and son Gage; Ryan Trammell, wife Elsa and son Rudder; Adrienne Congdon and husband Michael; Karson, Korey, Mason and Lyndsey Roberts; and Jake and Dalton Quinn.
