Mr. Knight was born on August 22, 1918 to Thomas and Josie Knight in Bessemer, Alabama and passed away peacefully on August 20, 2012 in Conroe, Texas. He was 93 years old.

Bill was an excellent bridge player who loved to travel and always packed his charming "dry sense of humor" wherever he went. He was happily married for 66 years to his beloved Orella, who preceded him in death in 2009. Together they raised three beautiful children. Mr. Knight was a Professor of Accounting (CPA) who was appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Certified Public Accountants on October 1, 1962. During his career, he taught many successful years at Louisiana Tech University, the University of Jacksonville and at Frostberg State University in Maryland. After retiring in Maryland, and at the age of 70, he chose to travel abroad and began teaching again. Bill taught Accounting on Military bases in England and Germany.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Orella as well as his sisters, Elizabeth Jones, Jo Hoglan and Saralyn Huffaker.

Bill is survived by his loving family: Daughters, Billie Ann Foshee and husband, Robert, Sharon Rollow and husband, Dave; Son, Mark Knight; Grandchildren, Rob Foshee, Melissa Norris, Shelley Matthews; Great grandchildren, Liam Norris, Cassandra Norris and Amelia Norris; numerous other dear relatives and friends also survive. Bill was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to Above and Beyond- Assisted Living for their kind and loving care they showed to their Dad through the past few years.
