William (Bill) Shaw

William (Bill) Shaw passed away August 12, 2011 in Conroe, Texas. William was born on March 8, 1945 in Corpus Christi, Texas to William Francis and Martha M. Shaw. William was an engineer with Honeywall and Baker Hughes companies in Houston, Texas. In later life, he was the Republican Party Chairman of San Jacinto County for eleven years, building a viable Republican Party in that county. He authored Texas election Law, Sec.127.005 (e) which assures representation of both political parties in the central counting station on Election Day. He always said, "I want fair elections for both parties." "Shaw's Law" will stand the test of time. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Marcella D. Shaw of Conroe, TX; son, Michael William Shaw of Kingwood, TX;daughter-in-law, Brenda Shaw of Kingwood, TX; grandsons, Michael Logan Shaw and John Mason Shaw of Kingwood, TX; daughter, Rita Teresa Gayle "Robin" Shaw of Denver, CO; mother, Martha Gomes of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Paulette Shaw Maier of Corpus Christi, TX; brothers, Robert Edward Shaw of Tomball, TX, Phillip Raymond Shaw of Corpus Christi, TX and Donald Ray Shaw of Corpus Christi, TX. Numerous other friends and relatives also survive. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Republican Party of Montgomery County, P.O. Box 45, Conroe, Texas 77305-0045. Memorial services are pending.
