Mr. Smith was born on May 9, 1930 in Grapeland, Texas and passed away peacefully on December 19, 2013 at Conroe Healthcare Center. Willie and Patsy were married on October 27, 1956 in Cleveland, TX and enjoyed 50 years of marriage before Patsy's passing in 2007. Willie lived and worked in Conroe for over 70 years. He worked for Sparkler Manufacturing Company and the Texas Department of Transportation (Conroe Division) for many years before opening Smith's Mobil Station on New Year's Day in 1966. Later after many successful years as a Mobil Station, he changed to Texaco, and finally, ran the location as Smith's Tire and Lube where he and his two sons, Randy and Richard worked together for over 46 years. Willie loved farming and gardening. He would often sell his delicious watermelon, peas and sweet potatoes at the tire shop for his customers to sample.

Willie was preceded in death by the love of his life; wife, Patsy Ann Smith in 2007. He is survived by his loving family: sons, Randy Lewis Smith and Richard Floyd Smith and his wife, Wendy all of Conroe; sister, Coramae McSpeden of Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandchildren, Tiffany Smith, Shane Wells, Shannon Wells, Brandon Wells and Jacob Wells; eight great grandchildren; and his beloved pets, Rusty, Cowboy, Hunter and Dixie. Several cousins, other relatives and many dear friends also survive.

Pallbearers: Jacob Wells, Brandon Wells, Shannon Wells, Shane Wells, Jacob Elizondo and Manuel Elizondo. Honorary Pallbearer: Mr. Danny Elizondo.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to Conroe Healthcare Center and to the Rose of Texas Hospice for their loving care and support during this difficult time. Willie will be greatly missed.
