Funeral Services for Wilma Inez Walding will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 at 12:30pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel, with interment immediately following in Whispering Pines Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Wilma was born on May 23, 1921 in Jonesboro, Louisiana to Jesse Mallory Watson and Nancy Elizabeth Culpepper-Watson and entered the eternal Gates of Heaven on September 5, 2011 in The Woodlands, Texas. Wilma was an avid gardener with an extraordinary green thumb. Wilma was a member of the Eastern Star. She was an excellent cook and homemaker who provided for her loved ones in the most devoted and loving way. Wilma always put God and her family first. She was a very proud mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother who, with great passion, was an exceptional caregiver to her family. Wilma was reunited in Heaven with her husband, Luby Walding, Jr; son, Donald Owen Walding, granddaughter, Amy Horne-Meeker and her great grandson, Kevin LaPlant-Horne. Left behind to treasure her cherished memories are her daughters, Terri Dashiell and Carol Warren and her husband Glenn; grandchildren, Chad Horne and his wife Hilda, Daniella Stockton, Travis Oliphant, Garrett Dashiell, Mamie Dashiell, Jackie Russo and Patsy McDaniel; great grandchildren, Austin Meeker, Tyler Meeker, Blake Horne and Mariel Horne.
