Funeral services for Winfred Earl Capps will be held Thursday August 1, 2013 at 12:30pm in the Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Merle Blado officiating. Interment will follow in the Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00pm. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 31, 2013 from 5-7pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Earl was born May 27, 1925 in Marietta, Texas. He served in the U.S. Marines during WW II, then moved to Conroe where he met and married his wife of sixty-three years, Peggy, and raised four children while living in Conroe. Earl retired from Auto Convoy, and spent his free time doing the things he loved: fishing, camping, travelling, visiting family and participating in various 60 Plus Dance Club and Good Sam's Club activities. Earl is survived by his daughters, Rita Freeman and Rhonda Schnitzius and her husband Greg; sons, Randy Capps and his wife Susan and Robie Capps; grandchildren, Brandy Freeman, Windy Tyznik, Amber Daugherty, Eric Schnitzius and his wife Debbie, Leslie Goree, Ashley Schnitzius, Rachel Duda and her husband Lucas and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Eric Schnitzius, Peydon Vasquez, Avery Vasquez, Devon Freeman, Lucas Duda and Dennis Barker.
