Born June 26, 1925, Winston made his transition on Feb 2, 2013. Preceded by parents Jerome & Bertha Staehlin & wife Billie Jones Staehlin. Known as Winnie, Winston is survived by his wife Joyce Gould Staehlin, son Don F Staehlin of Palestine, TX, daughter Valerie S Eagle & husband Wayne Cundiff of Roanoke, VA, son David J Staehlin & wife Stefanie of Evergreen, CO, grandchildren Jeremy, Carly, Sheradon & Maggie Staehlin, Jessica & Kelli Eagle, Rory & Brynley Staehlin; 8 great grandchildren, 3 stepchildren, & 2 step grandchildren. Having grown up in Houston, TX Winston served his country in the US Navy during WWII & the Korean Conflict. A graduate of Univ of TX, he worked as a CPA at Peat Marwick & retired from Underwood Neuhaus in 1980. Living in TX & CO, Winston led a long & happy life, cherishing his family, friends & his church. A memorial will be held Sunday at 12:30 pm Feb 10, 2013 at First Church of Christ Scientist 501 Wilson Rd. Conroe, TX 77301.
