Bill R. Wright, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 10th,surrounded by his loving family, at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy, Texas. Born in Fort Hancock, Texas on June 19th, 1930, to Joe and Erdele Wright, he lived most of his life in, and around, Houston.

Bill was a passionate, Christian man with a servant heart. He was very proud of his Texan heritage. He loved his community and was always very involved and had many friends. He traveled most of the globe, and even lived abroad on several different continents when his vocation as a Petroleum Engineer necessitated it.

Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, and his best friend, Reba. A son, Joe, and his wife, Jeanette. Sons, John Randall, and Jerry Gentry, and daughter, Kimberly, and her husband Mike Thigpen, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, January 5th, 2013, at 11:00 am, at the Outrigger, inside the Harbor Town Community, on Lake Conroe, where he and Reba lived most of their married years. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking those inclined, to make donations, in Bill's name to charities of their own choosing.
