Yoshiko "Yo" Johnson, 81, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born in Japan on January 1, 1934, and came to the United States in 1960. She was married to John E. Johnson, the love of her life, on August 12, 1978. Yo worked at Luby's Cafeteria in South Houston for 25 years, retiring in 1998 and relocating to Conroe, Texas. She worked as a preschool teacher at West Conroe Baptist Church from 2006-2009 and will forever be known as "Miss Yo" to children and parents in Montgomery County. She had a passion for her senior exercise class at the Conroe Recreation Center, photography, crocheting, sewing and hand crafts.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands on Tuesday, November 24 from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 25 at 11 am at Forest Park The Woodlands. Burial will follow at Forest Park The Woodlands.

Yo is preceded in death by her son, Michael Lee, and parents Katsujiro and Shika Matsuba. She is survived by husband of 37 years, John Johnson; sister-in-law, Mavis Johnson; nephew Paul Johnson and wife, Cindy; great nephews, Jacob and Joshua Johnson; niece Jaylyn Johnson; great nieces Jessica Vavrecka, Tammy Tholen and Victor Tholen.

Yo never met a stranger and was happy to help in any way. Her smiling face and disposition will be missed by all.
