Mildred "Midge" Eigenrauch (nee Voelkner) passed away peacefully on April 10,2014 at the age of 96 in Voorhees, NJ. Midge was married to her loving husband William (Bill) Eigenrauch, for 56 years until his death in 1998. She is survived by sons David (Betty) of Voorhees and James (Karen) of Silver Springs, FL. Midge is also survived by her granddaughter, Mary Beth Taylor (Kurt) with children Kurt, Nicole, Elizabeth and Jacob; also grandson Stephen (Adrienne) with children, William and Stephen; and grandson James (Bonnie) with children, James Jr., Jayme Lee, Bradley, Lucas, Aiden, and Tim. Midge was born November 30, 1917 in Paterson, NJ, daughter of Charles and Mildred (Huf) Voelkner. She had two brothers Charles and Robert both deceased. At a very early age, Midge set her goal of becoming a teacher. She attended Paterson East Side HS and was a 1940 graduate of New Jersey State Teachers College, Trenton, NJ (The College of New Jersey). A devoted kindergarten teacher in Carlstadt, NJ and later in Lake Parsippany, NJ where she truly loved teaching and made everlasting memories for every child she taught. Retirement years were spent in Stuart, FL, enjoying golf and the beach. She was an avid reader, loved to travel and do cross word puzzles. Special times were spent with best friends known as the Poker Club. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on April 16, 2014 at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 27 Kresson-Gibbsboro Rd., Gibbsboro, NJ from 9:45-10:45 AM, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private at a later date at the Brigadier General Doyle Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
