Lynn Probst Obituary
Anna Maria Island FL - PROBST, Lynn C. on April 6, 2019, of Anna Maria Island FL, formerly of Berlin NJ. Age 82. Beloved husband of Joan Probst (Magill). Loving father of Carol Lynne Yavalar and Lynn S. Probst, II and his wife, Mary. Dearly loved grandfather of Burak, Alexia and Tyler Yavalar and Claire and Lauren Probst. Dear brother of Cynthia P. Bradley (Wilson) and Roy S. Probst (Pamela). Lynn was a graduate of Merchantville High School, Lock Haven University and Rutgers University. He was a longtime golf coach at Pennsauken High School, teacher and administrator in the Pennsauken School district from 1960-1994. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday May 11 from 1-2pm at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton where a Memorial Service will be held at 2pm Saturday. Interment will be private. If desired, donations may be made in Lynn's memory to the Robert Ike Willis Memorial Fund 1730 Rodman Street Philadelphia PA 19146

Lynn was an experienced teacher when I started my career at the junior high. He showed me through his example what it meant to be a good teacher. He was knowledgeable, patient, cared about his students and had a great sense of humor. I never saw him angry or heard him raise his voice. My condolences on his passing but know that his memory will live with those he taught and worked with.

My most sincere condolences are offered to Lynn's family and friends. We were colleagues at the Pennsauken Junior High School. I knew him as a compassionate administrator and fine teacher. He carried himself with grace and poise and commanded the respect of his students and colleagues. I particularly appreciated his love of sports and sense of humor. May Lynn Rest in Peace.

The pain of loosing our loved ones is not as difficult when we remember them at times of joy. I remember seeing Lynn at each Christmas party you had. Year after year, he shared the fun and always spoke to us as though we had seen him only yesterday, not the year before. My love goes to you all.

My condolences to the entire Probst family. My heart is breaking with this sad loss. Some of the best times of my childhood were spent at the Probst home. It was always filled with warmth, love & laughter.
I will never forget, as a young child slipping down their steps & being in tears. Mr. Probst immediately scooped me up, told me I was ok and cleaned off my knee. He told me he'd take care of me & he did. I knew in that moment I could always trust him. His quiet strength, tremendous wisdom & quick wit will never be forgotten. He was truly one of a kind. I looked up to him like a 2nd father. His home was always open to me. When his daughter Carol & I got older, he'd always be there with some words of advice & encouragement, an extra $20 and plenty of quarters if we needed to make a call for a ride.
He will always hold a special place in my heart & my memory. Thank you for always being there Mr P, you will truly be missed.

Mr probst was a very polite man. Got to know him in the last six months. Taking care of him at his home. Very easy going man. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. Herb calvo.
