Angelo A. DiFronzo Jr. Obituary
Angelo A. DiFronzo, Jr.

Washington Twp. - Angelo A. DiFronzo, Jr., on May 13, 2018, of Washington Twp. Age 82. Devoted husband of Dorothy M. (nee Southwick). Devoted father of Lori DiFronzo (Paul). Dear brother of Elizabeth Clancy (Bob) and Rosemarie Dean (Tom).

Angelo bravely lived with the challenges of Parkinson disease for the past 19 years.

He spent most of his life as a teacher in elementary education in the Brooklawn School District, however his first love was sports. He dedicated his life to coaching students in basketball and softball at every level.

Angelo recently retired from Camden County College after 19 years of coaching women's softball and 16 years coaching women's basketball. He was a recipient of numerous awards.

While coaching at Audubon High School in 1979, he was named South Jersey Coach of the Year and recruited to perform scouting duties at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he served as a Part-Time Assistant.

Angelo was also a Lifetime Member of the Independent Umpires Association.

Prior to his passing he was diligently attempting to write two books, one on his life as a boy growing up in Camden and the other on the history of sports at Camden County College. Those efforts were sadly interrupted by his declining health.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 9:00 - 10:45 AM at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stagecoach Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM. Entombment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Welfare Association509 Centennial Blvd., Voorhees, NJ 08043. Condolences may be shared with the family at
