Dorothy T. Ward Obituary
Dorothy T. Ward

Audubon - Dorothy Theresa Ward (nee Davis), of Audubon, NJ peacefully passed on July 8, 2018 to be with our Lord at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife of Francis J. Ward for 66 years, and the loving mother of 9 children: Francis (Debra) Ward, Theresa (Alan) Gorman, Virginia (Edward) Deanley, James (Frances) Ward, Colleen (Mark) Kendrick, Patricia Ward, Mary (Steve) Oteri, Michael Ward, John (Paula) Ward. She is also a proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and was the youngest of seven children. Dorothy was a proud graduate of Camden Catholic H.S. Class of 1950, treasured her yearbook and was the lead in her high school play. After she graduated, she was employed by RCA Camden, left to raise her family, and returned to RCA until her retirement in 1992. Dorothy was a former committee woman with the Audubon Democratic Party, Den mother and Girl Scout leader for her children.

Dorothy was a true lover of all animals, especially her cat, Thumbs, and passed her love of nature on to her children, with weekly Sunday trips to "Medford" and walks in the woods. She will always be remembered for her beautiful red hair, her smile, her love of pulling pranks and tricks on people, her laughter, her cups of tea and her hugs.

No one has had a better wife, mother or role model than us, and no one will be missed in our lives more than mom, she was truly one of a kind.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 PM and Thursday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 4th Avenue and Kings Highway, Haddon Heights. Interment private at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 or at www.samaritannj.org.
