Francis & Audrey Meehan

Maple Shade - Francis James,84, and Audrey Ann Meehan,80, of Maple Shade NJ passed away on July 8, 2018. Fran & Audrey were married for 61 wonderful and memorable years until both of their deaths.

Fran served his country in the United States Army. Following his time in the military Fran became a gym teacher at Cherry Hill West High School where he spent most of his career. During those years, Fran's love for fitness and athletics helped him and other's launch gymnastics in South Jersey.

Audrey was a manager at Braddock's Tavern in Medford, NJ. Her true passion was for horses and equestrian sport activity. Reading and watching her grandchildren play sports always brought her true joy.

Francis James & Audrey Ann were devoted parents to their 3 children Greg Meehan, Laurie Lynch(Richard), and Kurk Meehan(Dawn). They each shared a special love for their grandchildren Janelle Detweiler(Chris); Nickolas and Justin Meehan. Francis and Audrey Meehan were loving great-grandparents to Andrea and Ty Detweiler. They both leave behind siblings, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a memorial service held for both Francis James and Audrey Ann Meehan on Saturday July 14, 2018 from 10am to 12pm at Givnish of Maple Shade 600 East Main St., Maple Shade NJ 08052. Following the gathering a service will be held for both Francis and Audrey. The inurnment will take place privately on a later date.
