Georgia M. O'Kane
Delanco - On March 23, 2021, Georgia (nee Miller) passed away peacefully at home. Born and raised in Camden, Georgia had lived in Merchantville until moving in with her daughter in Delanco several years ago. Mrs. O'Kane worked for the Academy of Music in the costume department specifically during the production of the Nutcracker. She was also a confidant, family historian and trusted support for many of her nieces and nephews throughout her life.
Georgia was the devoted wife of the late, Daniel M. O'Kane, Sr. She is the beloved mother of the late, Daniel M. O'Kane, Jr. (Diane), Marie Hurtado (late, Hank) and Georgia Herndon (Dave Raymond). She is the cherished grandmother of Dawn (Carl), Stephanie (Ed), Christine, Daniel M. III (Stephanie), Jeff (Katherine), Matthew (Michelle), Justin and Ryan (Casey) along with numerous great grandchildren. She is the dear sister of Evelyn Meccariello (late, Armand), Joan Ummarino (late, Gabriel) and the late, Harry Miller (Joan). She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday morning, 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 43 W. Maple Avenue, Merchantville followed by her interment at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
