Barrington - James R. Vine, of Barrington, passed away on March 15, 2018, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Suzanne (nee Watson). Devoted father of James (Karyn) of Mantua, David (Tracey) of Eastampton and Keith (Yvonne) of Mt. Holly. Loving grandfather of Becky, Catherine (Tracy Cramer), David, Angelica (Michael), Nigel (Erica) and Elise. Dear great grandfather of Ryan and Madeline. Brother of the late John, Patricia and Dorothy.

Jim proudly served, as a signalman, in the US Navy, in the South Pacific, during World War II. He was a selfless person, who was happiest when helping others. Jim was devoted to his faith and was a volunteer for many organizations. For over 20 years, he was a volunteer advocate for residents of nursing homes, under the direction of the New Jersey ombudsman for the institutionalized elderly. In that role, as a volunteer advocate, Jim would drop in on nursing homes and check on the health and safety of residents.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass, Wednesday, 11 AM, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Aloysius Church location, 37 W. Haddon Avenue, Oaklyn. Interment is private.
