" Ní bheidh a leithéad ann airís"

An Irish saying which means;

"His likes will not be here again"

Rest in peace Big Bob.

Susan, our heartfelt condolences from Galway Ireland.
Kiltimagh will not be the same without Big Bob's presence in parades, music events, laughter, food and the craic.
We first met you and Big Bob when Patria Byrne married our son John Tierney.
Our visits to Kiltimagh for St. Patrick Day parades were memorable, always spectacular with bejeweled Big Bob's presence. Your journey through the lives of the Byrne family and then the Tierney family is a treasured memory.
A Big Man in stature, in heart, in music, in life, laughter and love.
May the heavens now have a special place for Big Bob, to lead The Band of Angels in music, laughter and love.
Susan be assured that you and your family are in our prayers and positive thoughts.
Those memories locked in a special place in our hearts.
Grá go deó ó Éireann.

Love forever from Ireland.

Sean and Mary Tierney, Galway.

My condolenses to the family. Sorry to hear of his passing. He was bigger than life. Went to school with him at Darby Colwyn. He was also a showman back then ...on the field during halftime at the football games... leading the band.

Bobby was bigger than life. We always enjoyed having him and the Quaker City String Band perform at Beer World in Cape May. He was a joy to be around and will be missed. Thank you Bobby for all that you have done and may you now rest easy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as well as all the mummers. New Years Day will never be the same without you.
Sincerely,
The Pflaumer Family

I've known Bob since I was 13 years old and marched my first parade with Avalon String Band. Many years later my father and I found our way to join Quaker City as drummers, unfortunately this was short lived as dad became ill and passed two and a half years later. He was always friendly and I never heard him say a cross word to anyone. I will never forget when my daughter was two and we took her to the show of shows at the old civic center, she had flowers for him and when he came over she looked up at him as if she was looking up at a skyscraper, her head kept going back until she almost fell down and Bobby scooped her up and danced around the floor then brought her back to me and gave her a kiss as he put her down and danced away again. She has never forgotten Big Bob as she called him either. May he Rest In Peace and May your family find comfort in all the loving memories of the joy he brought to others. God Bless you , the Koehler Family.

Fans of the Mummers gave a big, heavy sigh.

The chorus all said "Awww."

The big guy in front.

He made us all cheer.

Hugs to the family for the memories you hold dear.
