Gloucester City - Surrounded by her loving family, on March 23, 2018. Age 90. (nee Underwood) Of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 66 years to the late Egidio "Gene" D. Rovere. Loving mother of Theresa Rovere Grimm (Frank), Kathleen Rovere Nicholson (John), Linda Rovere Garris and Michele Rovere Lanciano (Domenic). Cherished grandmother of Emily Grimm Backowski (Benjamin), Caitlin Grimm Giles (Ryan), Lauren Nicholson Shryock (Dan), Sarah Nicholson Nolan (Greg), Maria Garris Lemma (Jeffery), Olivia and Brian Garris and Domenic, Gabrielle and Nicholas Lanciano. Cherished great-grandmother of Abigail and Liam Giles.

Beloved sister of Edward Underwood and predeceased by her siblings, Anne Matrone, Doris Underwood, Mary Halderman, William Underwood and John Underwood.

Theresa was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School class of 1945, where she achieved class Salutatorian. In her early working career, she ran the office for John Stewart Insurance and was a secretary for Quigley's on Market Street. For many years, Theresa did the accounting for her husband's business. She was a longtime member of the Gloucester City Lions Club Ladies Auxiliary, the Gloucester City Senior Citizens Association, active with Meals on Wheels and was captain many years for the House of Charity collections.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to her viewing on Tuesday morning, March 27th, from 9:15 to 10:45 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM in church. Interment in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Msgr. Lucitt's Needy Children's Fund: PO Box 87, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Please memo: Theresa Rose Rovere.
