Clementon - Walter "Mike" Michaleski died peacefully in the home of his son Walter, Jr. on 7/6/18 in Clementon, NJ. Born Dec. 12, 1921, he was predeceased by his wife Katherine. He served in the US Coast Guard from '41 - '44 where he earned distinguished honors as a Chief Petty Officer with an uncanny ability to work with mechanical problems and manage people of diverse backgrounds. Following his discharge he built his own automotive repair shop in Delaware Twp. (now Cherry Hill), "Mike's Out of the Way Service", which he operated for over 50 yrs. He helped foster the skills of many who came to become highly successful in automotive and related fields. He is survived by two sons, Leon (Susan) and Walter, Jr. as well as his sister Catherine Mylett. Predeceased by brother Stanley. He has four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his robust spirit, hearty laugh, and his strong sense of independence. A memorial celebration of his life TBA.
