William Angus Obituary

On March 30 2006 age 82 of Medford Leas NJ formerly of Moorestown NJ.
Bill was Mayor of Moorestown from 1971-1976 and a Council Member from Jan. 1967 through Dec. 1976. Member of the Republican Club of Moorestown and Burlington Co. Past President of the Moorestown Rotary Club and Paul Harris Fellow and longtime member of the Collingswood United Methodist Church. Bill received the Moorestown Citizen of the Year award in 1975. Past President of the South Jersey Chamber of Commerce and active for many years in the Burlington County Council of the Boy Scounts of America. During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy V-12 Program at the Univ. of Penna. Columbia Midshipmen School and was Commissioned Ensign of the Navy in 1945. Bill served on the USS Guest DD-472 (1945-1946) in the Pacific theater. Bill was a Graduate of Collingswood High School class of 1941 University of Pennsylvania Moore School of Electrical Engineering Class of 1944.
Husband of Ethel (nee Brown). Father of William A. Angus III of Poway California Laura A. Yount of Oviedo Florida Louise A. Cribbs of Owings Maryland. Brother of Ruth Dieter of Baton Rouge Lousiana. 6 Grandchildren. One Great Granddaughter.
Memorial service Tues. 11am at Medford Leas Rt. #70 Medford NJ. Private Entombment Harleigh Cemetery Camden NJ.
