Walter J. Lane
AGE: 90 • of Cherry Hill, formerly of Haddonfield
Passed away June 17, 2017. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Barbara J. Lane. He is survived by his children John W., Esq. (Mary Ellen), Dr. William M. (Janet), Mark T. (Betsy), Dr. Barbara A. Rich (Leslie), Nancy J. (Linda Stipa), and Robert P. (Jessica); 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and his beloved brother and sister, Robert and Alice Lane of Bristol, PA.
Walter served in the U.S. Army after graduating from Bristol High School in 1944. He was a salesman in the electrical supply business, then later a manufacturers' representative, founding the Walter J. Lane Company in the mid-1960's, which he operated until his retirement. For a number of years he also sold real estate part time. He has been an active member of Christ the King Parish in Haddonfield since 1954. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield since 1964 and was a past president of that organization. Prior to moving to Cherry Hill in 2010, he was also active in Haddonfield's 65 Club.
A viewing and visitation with the family will be held at Christ the King Church, 200 Windsor Avenue, Haddonfield, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on June 20, 2017. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend the funeral mass at the church, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 2398 Marlton Pike W., Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, it was Walter's wish that donations be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice.

I am so sorry for losing your dad. I remember he sat at table 1 at Rotary and I tried my darnest to get him to sit at other tables but he was faithful to Charlie and the rest of his buddies.
I know he's at a better place now with your Mom.
