Shirlee Geller Obituary
Maple Shade - 94 years old departed life on January 30, 2021. A lifelong resident of Maple Shade. Daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Silverstein.
Shirlee was married to the late Harry (Ken) Geller, whom she "imported" from South Philly. Together they ran a grocery store originally owned by Shirlee's parents.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. I. Barry Geller and Marc Geller, four grandchildren, Stacey, Willow, Samuel and Hayden and one great granddaughter, Lorna Diamond and daughter-in-law Wendy.
Shirlee graduated Moorestown High in 1944. She worked at Gimbel's Department Store in Phila in the Photo Reflex Studio. She attended the Philadelphia College of Art for several years.
Services and interment are private at her request. Contributions in her memory can be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, guiding eyes.org.

I remember first meeting Shirlee at a very very young age when I was with my Grandmother Victoria Heilmeier and we shopped in her store on Main Street. As I got a little older I was able to go to the store on my own to get things for my Grandmother. One of my favorite childhood memories in that store with Shirlee was treating myself to the chocolate candy gold-foiled coins in the fishnet bags! As the years progressed, I got closer with Shirlee in ceramics class and enjoyed hearing her many stories each week at that class. We all seemed to look forward to what happened in Shirlee's life that week! Some GREAT stories that I'll never forget were told by her. I occasionally was hired by her to mow her lawn and blow her snow. She ALWAYS had a HUGE smile and hello when she saw you! She will be missed. My sincerest sympathies to Marc, Barry and the entire Geller Family. - Joe Walters
