Evansville - Charlotte M. Ebinger-Barney, 98, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at home. Charlotte was born May 22, 1921 in Evansville to the late Lyle & Mabel (Seebode) Metcalfe.

Charlotte graduated from Central High School. She also was Executive Secretary to the Evansville Jaycees and Secretary of Owen Corning Fiberglass.

Charlotte was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Holy Spirit Women's Club, St. Mary's Auxiliary, Little Sisters Auxiliary and Eagles; Fendrich's Ladies Golf League, Howell Ladies Par 3 League, K of C Golf League; Howell Booster Club, YWCA, Willow Bowling League, and Rivercity Bowling League.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husbands', Arnold Ebinger and James Barney; brothers, Mark and Tom Metcalfe; and sister Beverly (Metcalfe) Vowels.

Charlotte is survived by her two children, Kathy Ebinger (Jo) of Newburgh and Stephen Ebinger (Sue); Step-son, Jim Barney and Step-daughter, Helen Johnson of Evansville. Also, lots of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, 47714. A memorial service will begin at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Visitation will continue from 9:30 am to 10:00 am Friday, August 30, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 Lodge Ave., Evansville, 47714. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am with Father Thomas Kessler officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
