Sharon Faye (Robbins) Mand

Evansville, Ind.

Sharon Faye (Robbins) Mand, 63, of Evansville, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, along side her dear friend, Kathy Woolems.

Sharon was born in Evansville, Ind., on July 19, 1953, to the late Robert L. and Virginia L. (Jones) Robbins. She attended Reitz High School and worked at Deaconess Hospital and Whirlpool for many years. Sharon had a caring heart and was a second mother to many of her sons friends. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her sons, Brent Minton (Kathy) and Brandon Myers; a sister, Sandy (Robbins) Williams; grandchildren, Baylee and Bryce Minton, Brenton and Cierrah Myers; a niece, Lindsey Waters (Jimmy); and nephews, Dustin James (Haley), Stephen and Christopher James.

Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin L. Robbins; and by her parents.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will follow at Tupman Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Browning Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.

I first met Sharon playing marbles off Garvin St 52 years ago. And a few years later we were Westsiders, attending one of the best high schools in the country. Sharon always saw the best in people.

Dear family and friends of Sharon's. I am Brenda Moore ,I lived by the Robbins family , Jenny and Bob Sandy, Sharon And Kevin in the sixty's and seventys. I worked with Kevin for years at Escalade Sports hadn't seen Sandy or Sharon for many years ,but was blessed to know this wonderful family. My heart aches for all of you in this loss.
