Evansville, Ind. - Daniel Dane Crabtree, 73, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Dan was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 29, 1946, to Verco "George" and Betty (Williams) Crabtree. He worked as a Heating and Air Technician for over 20 years and as a barber for two years. Dan volunteered cutting hair for veterans at the Vet Center. He enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, trips to Kentucky Lake, and spending time with his grandchildren. Dan was an avid Indiana University basketball fan and loved his dog, Max.

Dan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rayetta (Conrad) Crabtree of Evansville, IN; daughter, Keri Hartz (Kevin) of Evansville, IN; mother, Betty (Williams) Crabtree of Evansville, IN; sister, Rebecca Maglinger (John) of Evansville, IN; and grandchildren, Karson and Kenzie Hartz both of Evansville, IN.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Verco "George" Crabtree and sister, Sarah Johnson.

A celebration of Dan's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 13, 2020, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.

Friends may visit from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at the funeral home and again from 10:00 AM until service time Monday.
