Brian Dusiewicz Obituary

Brian C. Dusiewicz
Brian Christopher Dusiewicz, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 6th, 2021 at the young age of 40. He was born on February 9th, 1980 in Bridgeport, CT to Vito Dusiewicz and Kathy (Kacprzynski) Dusiewicz. As a young boy, he took on his father's love of sports, playing Trumbull Pop Warner football and Trumbull United soccer. As a teenager he looked forward to weekends at the lake in Otis, MA and beach vacations at The Viking Motel in Wildwood, NJ. Not a childhood memory went by without his best friend Brooks Thopsey by his side. He grew up with the love and warmth of his many aunts who even in his later years never missed a birthday, uncles and cousins who all have warm memories of his curly blonde hair, piercing blue-eyes and beaming smile. Brian was surrounded by a loving and devoted Polish family rich in tradition and time spent together. Brian was a graduate of Trumbull High School Class of 1999 and attended University of Rhode Island.
He was the best big brother his sister could ask for. He shared his love of music with her and she'll never forget cruising down the Merritt Parkway in his black BMW to Radiohead and Armin van Buuren. In the words of his mother Kathy, "he was an absolute gentleman, a perfectionist and a beautiful person who would give you his last dollar." Brian was exceptionally bright, outgoing and easy to talk to. He will be remembered for his great sense of style and found pleasure in the finer things in life. Unfortunately, Brian suffered from addiction and mental illness that cut his life short. As a family, we continued to show him love and support throughout his life. His mother Kathy, who was also his caretaker and best friend, devoted her life to Brian. She will miss their weekly sushi dates dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother Michael Dusiewicz, his wife Allison and their two daughters Emmie and Kayleigh, who loved visiting Uncle Brian at the beach house. His sister Jennifer Dusiewicz-Sahoo and her husband Gyanadeep are grateful to have spent the last few months with Brian. We are at peace knowing that he was greeted in Heaven by both his Babcias, one with a fishing pole and the other with a plate of pierogies. "Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace."
Funeral services will be private for the extended family only. Interment in Long Hill Cemetery. Kindly reach out directly to the family for details. Memorial masses are requested to be held at St. Stephen's Church, Trumbull, CT. Arrangements in care of the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT.
