To the family of Arline Angell. I have often thought of Arline and wondered what glorious adventures she and Bill would be enjoying in their retirement in Florida.
This lovely obituary describes Arline so beautifully. She was such a dear friend and I had the privilege and honor
of sharing years with her in Easton Connecticut. This is
a vivid memory I have of our time together. Arline and I
decided to walk together for our physical activity. So
off we went. Little did I know what was in store for me.
We walked for an hour and covered miles. I am really
not sure how many but I think I clocked it one time
and came up with the number 5. The first few walks,
we took, always on the same route, left me gasping
for air. I worked to keep up with Arline, trying to keep
my composure, while conducting a breathless conversation. When we first connected she said to me,
"I asked God to send me a friend and here you are."
I feel I could write a book on our friendship and how much I learned, how much love I received, all the laughter and tears. God truly sent me a very very special person to listen to me in difficult times, to laugh with me a lot, to share watching our kids grow, to share our lives. As her beautiful soul is now united with her beloved Bill, may they be in peace. I love you Arline with all my heart.
Til' we meet again.

Dear Family,
Such a dear and wonderful lady has left us. I recall the wedding in 1954 and the subsequent reception in Somerset. Wonderful times at the "Bea Hive" in Westport will be always remembered with great fondness. Rest in peace, Aunt Arline.
