I had the pleasure and privilege of being Jay's football coach during his career at West haven High. Jay was a tremendous player in every respect and was a key component in the team winning State Championships in 1986 & 1987. He was the toughest player I ever coached but just as valuable as a great teammate and young man.
My thoughts and prayers are with Amy, his entire family and all of his former teammates who admired him so much. Rest easy, old warrior.
