Feb. 12, 1957-Sept. 8, 2018
Jeffrey "Foggy" David Perry, age 61, beloved son of Sofia M. "Sue" Perry, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital after a short illness surrounded by his relatives and friends. He was born in Bridgeport on February 12, 1957. Raised in Bridgeport, he attended St. Patrick's R.C. School, Shelton School, and Masuk High School in Monroe. He graduated from Manchester Community College with an Associate Degree in Horticulture. He was an avid fisherman, Yankee's fan, and loved all basketball games local and national, and golf. He was a former member of the North End Boys Club and the North End Little League in his youth. He was an excellent landscaper and was formally employed by Chapin & Bangs Co. of Bridgeport, Sunrise Masonry Inc. of Bridgeport, and H-II Radiator. He was a member of the Connecticut Laborers Union #665. He will be sadly missed by family, friends, and all that knew him as a quiet, peaceful, loving, and gentle person.
He is survived by his brothers; Jon D. "Moby" Perry (Janice) of Stratford, Jordan D. Perry Sr. of Stratford, his sisters; Laura Perry of Bridgeport, Jackie Perry of Stratford, and a step-brother, Charles Bennett (Mary) of Oxford and his step-mother, Anne Perry of Bridgeport, and his beloved aunt, Lillian Cotto of Bridgeport and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, John Perry.
Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave. Bridgeport. A wake service will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Norman Guilbert officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
