Veronica Wolf Sedita
Veronica Beatrice Sedita, age 92, died on Monday, April 2, 2018 at her home in Rowayton, CT. Born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Frederick and Josephine (Bates) Wolf, she was predeceased by her loving husband Steve J. Sedita and her daughter–in-law Brigida Sedita. A graduate of Erasmus Hall H.S. in Flatbush, NY, Veronica dedicated her life to her family, raising her children and grandchildren, cooking Sunday dinners and especially enjoyed Christmas Eve gatherings with family. She was a volunteer at the school library, as well as a member of the Bell Island Garden Club. She loved traveling the world with her husband, especially to England, Ireland, Italy and the islands. She was an avid New York Yankees and Rangers fan. She was present for Lou Gehrig's farewell address at the stadium, thanks to her father's season tickets and she enjoyed reminiscing about sharing a ferry ride with Babe Ruth.
She is survived by her children; Roseanne Sedita of Fairfield, Stephen J. Sedita Jr. and his wife Robin of KY, Diane Sedita McGill and her husband Charles of Stratford, and Robert A. Sedita and his fiancée Kathy Clark, of FL; 11 loving Grandchildren; Eric (Julie) Macklin, Melissa (Mike) Edelen, Tim (Jennifer) Macklin, Tracey Macklin, Corey (Andrew) Scinto, Christine Sedita, Kelley (Jason Beauchamp) Sedita, Leigh (Matt) Robinson, Rachel (Nicholas) Proto, Charles (Alexandra) McGill and Brendan McGill, and 16 Great-grandchildren; Jack, Aidan, A.J., Mimi, Lexi, Max, Ella, Lucia, Andrew, Brodrik, Octavian, Giovanni, Ava, Xavier, Rylee and Colton, all of whom lovingly knew her as "Granny."
Veronica's family is deeply grateful to her caregivers, especially her long-time companion Evelyn, as well as Sharon and Yvonne, along with the entire staff of "4 Nurses at Work" ; as well as the loving care provided by the Regional Hospice and Home Care in Danbury, especially Carrie and Suzy.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday April 5, from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, at St. Margaret's Shrine, Bridgeport.
