Vivian Tobiasen Ericson

ERICSON Vivian Tobiasen Ericson, age 75, of Bridgeport, died on Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hilda Tobiasen, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a registered nurse at Bridgeport and Norwalk Hospitals. Vivian taught nursing at Bridgeport Hospital and also taught at the Zion Lutheran Church grammar school. After her teaching career she became superintendent of Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield until her retirement in 1985. She then moved to Florida for 10 years to be with her son and family returning to Bridgeport three years ago. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Scandinavian Club. Survivors include her son, John P. Ericson and his wife, Mary, of Madison; two grandchildren, Kyle and Nicholas Ericson. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, October 23, 2004, at 10 a.m. in the Read Memorial Chapel at Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, with the Rev. John Schettenhelm, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Arrangements are in care of the Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2160 Main Street, Bridgeport.
