William W. Parker
William W. Parker, age 60, of Naugatuck, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday April 3, 2018 after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Marlene (Jones) Parker. Bill was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 2, 1957. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from The Academy of Aeronautics in Queens, NY. Bill was employed by UTC for 36 years, and currently, worked for Pratt & Whitney in Quality Assurance where he was an inspector in the engine department in Middletown, CT. Bill and Marlene spent the summer months seasonal camping in Wurtsboro, NY where he co-founded Chapel on the Mountain Ministry. He was also a member of the Cornerstone Church in Cheshire.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Rev. Walter Parker and Christine (Ryder) Parker and a sister Christine Yates. Bill is survived by his sisters Janet Parker, and Gloria (Parker) Shabazz, and her husband Jerome. Brothers and sisters-in-law Lawrence and Carolyn Caplik and Mac and Jacqueline Beamon, and several aunts, nieces and nephews.
Friends may pay their respects to the family on Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. with a memorial service to follow in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, CT. In lieu of flowers, at the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel on the Mountain c/o Catskill Adventure Resort, 538 Mount Vemon Road Wurtsboro, NY 12790 or through the funeral home.
