BRADY Helen I. Brady, age 83, of Derby, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 18, 2009 in Bishop Wicke Health Care Center, Shelton. She was born in Derby on December 24, 1925 daughter of the late John F. Brady, Sr. and Helen O'Keefe Brady. She was a graduate of the Derby High School Class of 1943 and University of Connecticut Class of 1947. Helen was employed as the Director of Public Relations for the Girl Scouts of United States of American in New York City where she resided for many years. She was a member and past president of St. Mary's Church Ladies Guild, Emeritus Board Member of the Derby Historical Society and recipient of their Dorothy Larson Historical Achievement Award. She is survived by her brother, a Deacon at the Church of Assumption, John "Jack" Brady and his wife, Arline; six nieces and nephews, Maureen Brady Moran, Ellen Brady Witek, John F. Brady, III, James Brady, Thomas Brady, George Brady; and 13 grand nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. Her funeral will leave the funeral home on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
