My sincerest sympathy for the loss of John and Dell from the Birmingham family. They were two lovely people who I always found gracious and kind. Their nephew, Alan, always had wonderful early memories of family vacations and holidays spent with the extended family. He fondly recalled his Uncle John's teasing and wry sense of humor and attributed his own interest in swimming to Uncle John's influence.
My thoughts are with you.

John, my sincerest condolences to you and your family, it must be an extremely difficult time for you and your siblings. How long has it been since the time when your family had that beautiful, visible star on the top of your home at Christmas? I hope warm memories get you through these days.
