Mary Kantorowski Obituary
Mary Kantorowski, 98, wife of the late John E. Kantorowski, died Saturday, August 11, 2012 in her home. Born in Granville, NY, she has been a Fairfield resident for the past 72 years. Over the course of many decades, Mary was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish where she was active in the Women's Guild and dedicated countless hours contributing to the success of the parish picnic. She was also a member of the St. Thomas Seniors and enjoyed playing Pokeno and Bingo at the Fairfield Senior Center. Mary's door was always open and she delighted in preparing traditional Polish meals as well as baking for the family and friends who happened to come by. She is survived by her son, John E. (Jack) Kantorowski of Fairfield, and his fiancé Judy, who were her caretakers for several years; a grandson, Peter Kantorowski and his wife Hope of NC; great grandson Richard and his wife Rachel of NC; and great great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Natalie and Anthony. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday at 8:30 am from the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road and at 9 am in St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 6 pm.

I can't believe it has been 13 years since Mrs. Kantorowski passed. She was a wonderful lady, wife and mother. She was always smiling and her dimples accentuated her smile. Hope Jackie and Judy are well. Miss you all. Ray Garnsey

Jack and Judy, I can't believe it's been 12 years since your mom passed.
I know she is in heaven with your dad and our lord.
The most vivid memory I have of her where her dimples when she smiled, pumpernickel bread and other Polish goodies she would bake.
I think of her every now and then as well as you and Judy. Hope you are both doing well.

Jack and Judy. We were so saddened to hear of "Mom's" passing. We enjoyed your talking about her. you truly loved her and you and Judy did so much for her. I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your mom. She truely was a lovely lady and one of the was nicest people I have ever known. Her kind and caring ways along with her upbeat mood and smile will forever remaine in my memory. She also made the best spritz cookies ever.

Kantorowski Family, I will forever remember my trips as a kid to Granville made possible because of Uncle John and Aunt Mary, who was a pleasant, funny, friendly, loving, religious woman. There is no doubt that she is now with the Lord.
