Catherine Spada Obituary
Catherine "Tabby" (Fitzpatrick) Spada, age 85 of Milford, previously of Stratford, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Mrs. Spada, wife of the late Thomas P. (Buddy) Spada, was born December 25, 1928 in Bridgeport. She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret (Robertson) Fitzpatrick and had been a lifelong area resident. Tabby was a retired secretary for the the R.B. Birge Company. She was also actively involved with the East End Yacht Club, loved to travel, and had a great love of life and family. Survivors include a brother, Stephen Fitzpatrick of Glenburn Maine, a sister, Dorothy Hutchinson of Stratford; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Albert Williams, Robert (Claire) Williams, Walter Williams, and William Fitzpatrick. She was also predeceased by four sisters, Sally Cretella, Alva DePietro, May Davis and Margaret Priestley. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 9:00 in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, followed at 10:00 a.m. by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road, Stratford, CT. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. I was so sorry to hear of Tabby's passing. I remember all the good times we had with my husband Jim, Buddy, Barbara and George. We enjoyed many dinners, parties and especially the Bridgeport Credit Union picnic's playing golf. Be at peace my friend Joni Banas
