Dear Lynch family . Fran as a 'Flying Tiger' you and your teammates set the bar for the rest of us to aspire to. Obviously we never did,but still remember going into the locker room and looking at that record board where your name was prevalent. A long time friend from Denver remembers you as an 'Ironman'. Hell maybe they coined the phrase on that. As a lesser 'FT' I wish you 'Salamat Jalan' Co-Captain 'FT's'1974. Paul

Wow I am so saddened by this news. I remember growing up and playing with Kevin and Scott when they moved back to CT. I remember playing football with Fran in the side yard. I remember Fran bringing me into the Broncos locker room at Shea after they played the Jets. However, the thing I remember most is Fran always had a smile on his face.

I remember cheering for you and the rest of the TIGERS at the state championship. God bless you for the pride you brought to Ludlowe, and it carried on to all the people you touched in your life. Maryann Janik Somers.

To Kevin and his family, the Fairfield guys (Kevin knew about us as a little kid) remain forever grateful to Fran friend for the memories he gave us, and more importantly, for the friendships we formed. The season of 1979 was a blast, and will be an enduring memory. As you know, we had the most fun off the field. Ted Tyma
