Nannette Tenn Obituary
Nannette Tenn of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest on February 11, 2015. Born in Preston, Virginia to Burrell and Mary Redd Mitchell, Nannette has been a resident of Bridgeport since 1952. Nannette retired as a Home Economics teacher with the Bridgeport Board of Education. She taught at several local schools and retired from James A. Curiale Elementary School. She returned to work as an assistant in the Career Center at Harding High School.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years John I. Tenn, two daughters Pamela (Donald) Ford, Springfield, MA, Kimberly (Ralph) Ford, Bridgeport, son John (Charlene) Tenn, Stratford; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents, siblings and grandson Joshua. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 12:00 noon at The First Baptist Church of Stratford, 1301 Stratford Ave., Stratford with Pastor William B. Sutton, III, Officiating. Friends are invited to the viewing Saturday from 10:00 - 12:00 noon. The Milford Chapter of the Links, Inc., will conduct their Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. and the Omega Omega Service will be conducted at 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rev. William O. Johnson Memorial Scholarship at the First Baptist Church of Stratford or the Bridgeport Boys Choir through Morton's Mortuary, Inc. See www.mortonsmortuary.com
