Calvin was a kind man who spoke to me every time I saw him. I remember Calvin taking the Boy Scouts to the Huntsville Space Flight Center in 1963 and also camping trips. We rode in the back of his cattle truck. We always had a wonderful time. Larry, Leon and I were in Jr. High. He made sure that we got to our destinations safely. I appreciate the opportunity of having known this great man.

Calvin was the best uncle a guy could ever wish. I’ll always cherish the memories of his family reunions where all of the family would gather around in the country under the shade of the stately trees. The kids would get to play with all kind of farm animals including cows, pigs, and goats and of course all of those chickens. The food was always great and the company even better. He was one of the last great country gentlemen and he will be greatly missed.
